Job description

The Live Engineer is responsible for ensuring high-quality sound during live events, from setup to performance. You will operate and maintain sound equipment, troubleshoot technical issues in real-time, and collaborate with artists, event coordinators, and other technical staff to ensure seamless sound production for live performances. Your expertise in mixing, balancing audio, and adapting to dynamic live environments will be essential to delivering an outstanding audio experience for the audience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Live Event Sound Setup & Operation: Set up and configure audio equipment for live events, ensuring everything is functional and meets event specifications, while operating the equipment and adjusting audio levels to ensure optimal sound quality.

Sound Mixing & Balancing: Mix and adjust audio in real-time during performances to maintain clear, balanced sound, ensuring the mix reflects both the artist's and venue's creative direction.

Real-Time Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues during live events, quickly adapting to changing conditions to ensure uninterrupted audio delivery.

Collaboration with Artists & Technical Teams: Work closely with artists and technical teams to understand and implement specific audio requirements, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of the event.

Equipment Maintenance & Inventory Management: Regularly inspect, maintain, and test audio equipment, keeping an organized inventory and coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.

Sound Check & Pre-Event Preparation: Conduct sound checks with performers, ensuring audio levels and technical setups are ready for the event while accommodating any last-minute adjustments.

Post-Event Cleanup & Maintenance: Break down and properly store audio equipment after events, logging any issues and coordinating necessary repairs or maintenance.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all sound equipment is used in compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents or damage during setup, operation, and breakdown.

Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in live sound engineering, participating in training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Education & Training 

Degree or certification in audio engineering, live sound production, or a related field is preferred.

3+ years of experience in live sound engineering or similar roles.

Working Conditions

9 Hours ( +/- 90 minutes)

    This assessment evaluates key qualities essential for hospitality roles, such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Candidates must score 80% or higher to qualify for an interview at the Job Fair.

     

  2. Register for the Job Fair 
    The registration link will be available after you pass the test.
